Professionals Nord is seeking an ECAD engineer on behalf of Westermo; the assignment is part of our staffing services. You will be employed by Professionals Nord and work as a consultant at Westermo. At Westermo's Hardware Development Team, engineers and specialists collaborate to develop and create the next generation of data communication solutions, focusing on meeting and exceeding their high-quality standards. A central part of the products is electronics design and the production of PCB boards. We are now looking for an Electronics Designer or ECAD Engineer who wants to contribute their expertise while continuing to grow in the role at Westermo.

Responsibilities:

In this role, you will primarily work on developing and constructing advanced circuit board solutions for routers and switches, involving both analog and digital electronics. The role also entails close collaboration with various functions within the organization, such as the Product Office, R&D, and their own manufacturing unit in Stora Sundby, to ensure optimal circuit board performance and smooth integration of the design. Examples of tasks may include:

• Working with ECAD tools for PCB design and layout
• Working on new development or updating existing products
• Collaborating on various projects with other departments
• Working with multilayer board design, signal integrity, and thermal requirements

We are looking for someone who:

• Has a technical education in electronics
• Has knowledge of ECAD tools such as Mentor Graphics or similar
• Speaks and writes fluently in English
• Previous work experience in electronic circuit design is an advantage
