Teaching in Rhythmics and Instrumental Rhythmics

Mölndal's Cultural School is a cutting-edge creative operation that meets about 2000 children in music, dance, theater, visual arts, and film. We have a well-developed choir and orchestra program and a large collaboration with schools and preschools. We want to be a meeting place where children's and young people's cultural practices develop and are visible and take place in the city's cultural life. Therefore, the scenic activities are an obvious part of the students' education. Our staff consists of about 60 teachers plus management and administrative personnel.

We work strategically with school development through student participation and inquiry-based teaching. There we challenge our approaches and working methods to constantly develop meaningful activities. The teachers at the Cultural School work in various groups, teams, and contexts, both subject-wise, cross-artistic, and in various collaborations with activities outside the Cultural School.

The management of the Cultural School is the hub of the city's Cultural Guarantee, which is a cross-administrative collaboration where all children aged 3-16 receive professional cultural experiences and activities with their own creation every year.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

Teaching in early childhood rhythmics for ages 0-4, children's rhythmics for ages 5-7, instrumental rhythmics for ages 5-8, and rhythmics workshops in preschools with 3-year-olds within the framework of the city's Cultural Guarantee. In instrumental rhythmics, you will teach together with an instrumental teacher.

You will be part of a team together with other teachers who teach rhythmics and instrumental rhythmics.

The position is a temporary position at 40-60% and may possibly be combined with another assignment.

QUALIFICATIONS

We are looking for someone who is an educated rhythmics or music teacher. Experience in teaching children and young people is desirable.
