Your new job

We are now looking for a support assistant for one of our LSS homes in beautiful Frösön. There are five citizens living there who need varying support in their daily lives to be able to live like others. Our mission is to provide support to the citizen based on their individual needs, wishes, and conditions. We help the citizen manage their daily life and all the challenges that may arise, both inside and outside the home. As support in our work, we have a team consisting of an occupational therapist, social worker, psychologist, and district nurse. Support pedagogues and special educators are also linked to the LSS residence.

Working hours

The working hours include day, evening, on-call, and weekend shifts. You work in a flexible working time model, which means you may have the opportunity to influence your schedule. Work may occur in other locations during vacation trips.

Common tasks

• Support the citizen based on a salutogenic approach by making everyday life meaningful, understandable, and manageable
• Assist the citizen in managing their home, such as cleaning, laundry, cooking, and shopping
• Support the citizen with personal hygiene
• Assist and participate in various leisure activities, such as swimming, bowling, dancing, and training
• Perform delegated health and medical care tasks such as medication management, using prescribed aids, and supporting prescribed physical training
• Social documentation

Your qualifications

Requirements

• Trained support assistant or other education deemed equivalent by the employer
• Good computer skills
• Good knowledge of the Swedish language, both spoken and written
• Driving license B

Meritorious

• Experience working with individuals with intellectual disabilities
• Experience working with individuals with autism
• Experience working with clarifying pedagogy, such as visual support and social stories
