Social Welfare Administration is looking for Social Workers

The Social Welfare Administration is looking for social workers for individual and family care in Strömsund, in the areas of Children and Family and Economy, for permanent employment and temporary positions.

We are located in Strömsund and have about 40 employees. Our strength lies in short decision-making paths and flexibility, and we base our work on mutual support. Therefore, we highly value cooperation and collaboration.

JOB DESCRIPTION

The area of Children and Family is organized into reception, investigation, execution, and family law. There is close cooperation between the different parts with a common coordinator.

In the area of Economy, applications for financial assistance are processed, and the goal is to support clients towards self-sufficiency. The work is led by the unit manager for authority operations.

As a social worker with us, you will primarily investigate, decide, and follow up on approved interventions according to the Social Services Act (SoL) and, in some cases, the Care of Young People Act (LVU). You will also collaborate with external contacts.

QUALIFICATIONS

For employment in the area of Children and Family, we are looking for someone who is a social worker; for the area of Economy, we are looking for someone who is a social worker or has another equivalent education at the university or college level. You express yourself well in speech and writing, have good knowledge of legislation, and can work independently within the framework of authority operations. Previous experience in case management within social services authority operations, as well as knowledge and experience of working with BBiC (Children's Needs in Focus) and Procapita/Lifecare, is an advantage.

In the role of social worker, you should be confident in your professional role and be able to meet people in need of social services support and assistance in a clear and trustworthy manner. This work suits you if you are humble, empathetic, and clear in your working methods. You find it easy to collaborate with both colleagues and the organization's partners.
