In addition to care, our family in the Support and Care Department consists of LSS, the nutrition unit, Labor Market and Integration (AMI), and Individual and Family Care (IFO).

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

A new social services act will come into force on July 1, 2025. To meet the legislative requirements for a knowledge-based, accessible, and sustainable social service, current operations will need to be developed and adapted. We are now looking for someone to coordinate and lead the municipality's work towards a transition to the new social services act, which will run until December 31, 2027.

The Support and Care Department is a large department both in terms of the number of employees and the breadth of assignments. The department is responsible for providing care and support, assistance and service, as well as health and medical care to our citizens in need, at all stages of life. The department also includes the municipality's nutrition unit and Labor Market and Integration unit, which will be part of the transition.

Your assignment is department-wide and encompasses all areas within social services. You will work on behalf of a steering group consisting of the Social Director and operational unit managers. Your immediate supervisor is the Social Director.

Job Tasks

In the role of project manager, you will coordinate and lead the municipality's efforts to adapt operations to the intentions of the new social services act, which aims to create a long-term, sustainable, more preventive, and knowledge-based social service. You will be involved in developing a transition plan to implement the new Social Services Act throughout the department.

You will provide support and guidance to the department's employees in the transition to the new social services act.

Your work will include, for example:

• Mapping needs and conditions for the Support and Care Department's transition to a new social services act.
• Planning, leading, and implementing the changes that need to be made locally related to the transition.
• Communicating ongoing work internally within the organization as well as to the political sphere.
• Developing materials to translate the new social services act into practice.
• Responsible for training sessions and professional development in the field.
• Monitoring the external environment, participating in various networks both regionally and nationally.

The assignment may evolve and change during the transition based on needs and decisions made.

QUALIFICATIONS

We are looking for someone with a degree in social work or another completed higher education that the employer assesses as equivalent.

Good knowledge of the current social services act and a good understanding of the new social services act and the changes that are underway.

A valid driver's license (B) is required.

Experience as a project manager is advantageous, as is knowledge and experience in change management.

Experience from several areas of social services such as regulatory authority and execution is also an advantage.
