Passionate Teacher in Human Factors Wanted

Are you a passionate teacher in Human Factors who is eager to make a difference and has an interest in military technology? The Education Unit is now looking for an engaged and driven individual who wants to teach the subject of Human Factors in an inspiring way.

Job Description:

The position is located at the Education Unit within the Subject Section, FMTS Halmstad. The Subject Section also educates in the areas of Military Technology, Physical Combat Value, Pedagogy, Human Factors, and Military Science.

In the role of Human Factors teacher, you will educate specialist officers (SO) with a technical focus, as well as personnel from other branches of the Armed Forces. You will ensure compliance with the specific requirements that exist within defense-related activities.

Main Responsibilities:

Plan, implement, and develop the Human Factors education within the Armed Forces.

This includes, among other things:

  • Planning, implementation, and follow-up of Human Factors education
  • Development of existing course plans and design of course descriptions for the subject of Human Factors for officer training and position training (YBK)
  • Development of interactive teaching methods
  • Active participation in the development of subject-related activities

REQUIREMENTS

Qualifications:

  • SO 7
  • Good insight and understanding of the military profession
  • Good ability to express yourself in Swedish speech and text
  • Driver's license B

You have the ability to translate theories in Human Factors into practical contexts. You are flexible and find solutions to challenges that arise in teaching. You always strive to improve the quality of education. You are outgoing and easy to collaborate with. You take initiative, show high engagement, and are used to working independently and under your own responsibility. In the selection process, great emphasis will be placed on your personal qualities and suitability.

MERITORIOUS

  • Experience in risk analysis and human-system interfaces
  • Experience with applicable standards and regulations within the Armed Forces
  • FSO/Air Technical Training (EMAR-SE)
  • You have a good understanding of the military profession

Work location: Halmstad.

The Swedish Armed Forces Technical School, FMTS, with its main location in Halmstad, is a logistics unit where technology is at the center.
