A Snapshot of Your Day

As a Bidding Engineer, you start your day by analyzing new and ongoing tender documents to understand customer needs, which is crucial for creating competitive bids. You participate in meetings with the sales and project team to discuss ongoing projects and resource allocation, particularly within gas-insulated switchgear (GIS) where Siemens Energy holds a strong market position.

Customer contact is central: you clarify technical details and discuss specifications, especially regarding environmental requirements that fit Siemens Energy's Blue portfolio. You compile technical and commercial details for the bids and collaborate with technical experts to ensure all requirements are met.

You also have procurement meetings with suppliers to discuss prices and delivery times, which are crucial for cost efficiency. Before the bid is sent, you review it carefully and make adjustments, as well as sending it for final review by your manager.

Your day ends with a summary of progress and planning for the next day, while you, satisfied with the day's productivity, send a few last emails before shutting down your computer.

How You Will Make an Impact

  • Technical Solution Development: Direct and develop technical solutions together with the team to meet customer-specific requirements.
  • Collaboration with Subcontractors: Continuously work with procurement and subcontractors to create and maintain relationships and optimize solutions for all parties.

About the Team

We are a small team in Sweden that is part of a larger Nordic organization with colleagues in both Norway and Finland. Currently, our focus is on restructuring our portfolio with an increased emphasis on core competencies and proprietary products.

Siemens Energy Grid Solutions is a world-leading OEM supplier with a strong focus on supporting our customers in reducing their emissions through the sale of environmentally classified products in high voltage. We have a well-developed portfolio that in the coming years will cover all voltage levels. In Sweden, we are currently focusing heavily on our Gas Insulated Switchgear (GIS), as we are the only European supplier with products that fully comply with the upcoming EU regulations for F-gases and PFAS.

We are organized as a Nordic organization where we primarily work with Swedish customers & Swedish projects, but seek help and support from colleagues in other countries in the Nordic and Baltic regions as needed.

If you are driven and technically interested and want to work for a company that carries out projects with proprietary products using world-leading technology, with the opportunity to work closely with colleagues in the rest of the Nordic region, we welcome your application.
