The mission of the Education and Labor Market Administration is to increase individuals' opportunities to find work and become self-sufficient through education, internships, and employment. We have, among other things, the municipality's largest collection of upper secondary education programs and courses for adults.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

Sturegymnasiet is now seeking pedagogical assistants for adapted upper secondary school. The work can be placed in both national programs and/or individual programs. Your workplace will either be at the adapted upper secondary school at Sturegymnasiet or at the adapted upper secondary school at Sannarpsgymnasiet.

We are looking for someone who has a strong interest and commitment to support and help students with intellectual disabilities who need assistance in their social and educational development. We work based on each student's individual needs, development, opportunities, and conditions. Your tasks as a pedagogical assistant will include:

• Following individual students during their school day and supporting group instruction.
• Having a low-arousal and respectful approach focused on the student's participation and influence.
• Planning and following up on instruction together with educators.
• Being a support to educators and participating in work and planning meetings.

Mentorship for students and contact with guardians is also part of the assignment.

QUALIFICATIONS

We are looking for someone who has a high school education in child and leisure, health and care, or another suitable education. If you have experience in the role of a student assistant, or similar work where you have supported children with special needs, this is certainly a strong merit. Experience from industries such as retail can also be an advantage.

As a person, you are calm, secure, and attentive to the needs of others. Since you will be in contact with many different people in your daily life, we see that you enjoy collaborating with others, both students and parents as well as colleagues. Furthermore, we also see that you have a good ability to take responsibility, both for your own tasks and for the group's common goals, and can see what needs to be done even if it lies outside your own area of responsibility.

You act according to our municipality's common values and are a role model for other employees. You encourage participation and creativity, show personal care by providing support and by confronting in a good spirit, both for your closest colleagues and for the organization as a whole. The extract is free of charge and takes about 2-3 weeks for the police to process. Therefore, order it in good time!
