About the position

As an economist at Riksbyggen, you will work in an advisory role with many customer contacts and opportunities for personal development. You will work closely with our technical managers and other delivery units to ensure that together you can deliver long-term quality management services that create added value for our customers. You will be part of a team with several economists where we help and strengthen each other and generously share our experiences.

You will also be the contact person for boards, suppliers, authorities, and others regarding financial issues. You will also have one or more board member assignments in one of our Riksbyggen associations, which may involve evening meetings.

You will be the economist for several of our customers located in all areas of our market region, primarily consisting of housing cooperatives but also commercial property owners and municipalities. You will have a lot of contact with, among others, the chairpersons of housing cooperatives and corporate boards where you, through your pedagogical ability, help them understand financial contexts and the significance of key figures.

By being proactive and analytical, you will identify new needs and from there develop the long-term collaboration with the customer. For our customers, you will be responsible for preparing budgets and financial statements, monitoring the financial performance of the business, loan procurement, financial planning, as well as preparing and presenting budgets, forecasts, and annual reports for the boards. You may also need to prepare group documentation and group financial statements for property companies. For the right person, there is an opportunity to participate in various projects.

Who are you?

You contribute with your expertise and commitment. We are looking for someone who is interested in customer contacts and has the ability to see and meet customer needs while acting professionally. You have the ability to create an open and trusting dialogue as well as good cooperation both internally and externally. Furthermore, it is important that you can take a broader perspective and work towards long-term sustainable strategies for the customer's financial management. You need to be structured, self-driven, take initiative, and have an interest in analysis.

You have an academic education at a university/college with a focus on economics or another equivalent education along with knowledge and experience that the employer assesses as equivalent. We see that you have worked with various aspects of finance and have experience in financial statement work/accounting. Experience in auditing is an advantage, as well as having worked with different types of companies.
