Job Description
The Kammarkollegiet in Karlstad is looking for a claims adjuster for the insurance department's personal injury unit.
The assignment involves the consultant handling claims primarily within the personal injury unit's student and travel insurance.
The work involves assessing and analyzing various types of documentation and making decisions on compensation based on insurance terms and practices. The job entails a lot of contact and communication with insured individuals, healthcare providers, and authorities. Some of the insured are foreign citizens, and therefore our processing and communication also occur in English.
The consultant will work with claims adjustment and be part of a team for student and travel claims.
The assignment is a fixed-term employment as a claims adjuster from 2025-05-01 to 2026-02-28, with the possibility of a 3-month extension.

Responsibilities
In this position, the following tasks may occur;
• independent work based on guidelines and practices
• prepare proposals, such as decision support
• plan and follow up on cases
• investigate, review, and handle cases, as well as make decisions in simpler cases
• report investigation results and provide suggestions for decisions
• analyze and evaluate tasks and projects
• work of an investigative and/or coordinating nature
• carry out and follow up on activities.
Qualifications
• University education or equivalent education in the relevant field and at least six (6) months
• Work experience from similar work
• Good knowledge of MS Office or equivalent
• Ability to communicate fluently in Swedish, both orally and in writing.
• Current experience in investigative case handling tasks.
• High digital maturity and knowledge.
• Good communication skills
• Understanding of routines and work processes
• Analytical ability and the ability to make independent decisions
• A team player who takes responsibility for the whole and the best interests of the organization
• Should be service-oriented, proactive, and solution-focused
• Precise, self-driven, and able to structure work effectively
• A person who can quickly adapt to new tasks and working methods
