Registrar at the Swedish Electrical Safety Authority

The Swedish Electrical Safety Authority aims to make electricity safe and free of disturbances. We work to ensure that electrical installations and products are safe, that the industry and electrical professionals have the right skills, and that the public is aware of the dangers of electricity. We are also the supervisory authority according to the Electromagnetic Compatibility (EMC) Act.

Description

We are looking for someone who wants to work in an exciting and varied role as a registrar in an authority with a clear and current societal mission.

The position is located in Kristinehamn at the Department of Operational Support.

The Department of Operational Support is responsible for overarching issues such as operational planning, financial and operational management, HR, IT, security protection, communication, registration, and premises.

Job Responsibilities

The work as a registrar is varied and includes case management, registration, case processing, archiving, and the release of public documents, as well as training and support for case handlers and managers. You will independently work to register, assess, and manage public documents in accordance with government regulations and internal governing documents.

You will act as a support for the organization in matters concerning public access and confidentiality as well as archive reporting. You are well acquainted with case management systems, you are operational, self-driven, and attracted to being part of our ongoing development work.

Qualifications

Formal Requirements

To be qualified for the position, you must:

  • have at least a high school education or other education that we assess as relevant for the position,
  • experience from registration and from digital case management systems,
  • many years of experience working as a registrar in public administration
  • have good knowledge of document management, archiving, and archive reporting
  • have knowledge of and/or experience with the laws and regulations that govern the work of authorities, especially public access and confidentiality
  • be able to express yourself clearly and simply in both spoken and written Swedish,
  • possess the personal qualities outlined in the requirement profile

Meritorious:

  • have registrar or archive education, or other experience or education that the authority assesses as equivalent

The Swedish Electrical Safety Authority is a government agency with the mission to work for high electrical safety and to ensure that electrical equipment does not interfere with each other. Based on the vision of “Safe and disturbance-free electricity,” we actively supervise electrical installations, electrical installation companies, and electricians, as well as conduct market surveillance of electrical products. The authority is responsible for the authorization of electricians and for the registry of electrical installation companies. We work with projects, reports, analyses, and statistics within our field. We also develop regulations for electrical safety and electromagnetic compatibility and participate in technical standardization both nationally and internationally. Active collaboration with the electrical industry and other stakeholders on electrical safety issues is a natural part of our operations. The authority uses communication as a strategic tool for change and increased knowledge.

The Swedish Electrical Safety Authority has approximately 57 employees located in Kristinehamn, Umeå, Hässleholm, and Stockholm. The main office is located in Kristinehamn.
