Senior Consultant in Contaminated Areas

We want to expand our team of senior consultants who lead development and complex assignments in contaminated areas and are looking for new colleagues. Your Future Role

You will be part of our group of environmental consultants specializing in contaminated areas where you will have great opportunities to both develop and take responsibility. You will be involved in planning and executing our assignments, ensuring high quality in what we do, and actively contributing to the development of our business.

At Sweco, we work closely with our clients and with our colleagues on assignments. You can work as a project manager or specialist, or combine the roles. As a project manager, you are responsible for leading and planning the assignment. As a specialist, you work closely with the technology and are responsible for complex issues related to investigations, risk assessments, and remediation of contaminated areas. You will also help develop our business in contaminated areas.

The assignments include, for example, environmental technical soil investigations, risk assessments, risk evaluations, remediation investigations, main studies, pilot tests, and environmental monitoring during remediation. We have assignments in all different stages of work with contaminated areas, from inventory to remediation. You will work locally, regionally, and nationally, and in addition to technical tasks, your responsibilities will include supporting/guiding junior consultants, developing client relationships, and generating your own assignments.

Are You the One We Are Looking For?

• You have a university degree in a relevant field.
• You have work experience as an environmental consultant/specialist, having worked with contaminated areas either as a consultant, on the client side, or in government.
• You have a valid driver's license (B).
• You speak and write Swedish fluently.

It is also advantageous if:

• You have experience conducting in-depth risk assessments for various media such as soil, groundwater, and sediment.
• You have worked with remediation investigations and risk evaluations.
• You have experience with various types of remediation methods, including in-situ.
• You have experience in project planning and cost estimation for different types of measures.
• You have experience in, and appreciate, mentoring and supporting the professional development of colleagues in your assignments.

To thrive with us and be successful in the role of consultant, you can act independently and take initiative and responsibility in a structured manner. You also need to enjoy working in a team. We place great importance on your communication skills and your ability to express yourself well in both speech and writing. Furthermore, you are curious about new sustainable solutions, dare to think outside the box, and can introduce new working methods and techniques into assignments. Sharing your expertise and experiences is also seen as a given.
