Role Description: As a UX Lead with accessibility expertise at Sopra Steria, you will lead, coordinate, and produce design in various types of digital development projects. You will work hands-on in client projects and closely collaborate with developers, product owners, and other stakeholders to ensure that our solutions meet both user and business needs. You will also act as an advisor and coach on accessibility issues, both internally and with clients. Your role involves developing and strengthening our offering in accessibility, and you will be a driving force in creating inclusive and user-friendly digital solutions.

Team: You will belong to the Digital Design team, which primarily consists of competencies in UX/UI and accessibility. Digital design is part of Sopra Steria's Quality department, which focuses on creating quality and value in many of the company's various projects and deliveries.

Sopra Steria is an international partner in IT, management, and design, with a service portfolio that covers everything the client needs to succeed in a digital world. As part of Sopra Steria Sweden's design competence, you will also belong to Sopra Steria's award-winning Design and Innovation agency EGGS, Scandinavia's largest design and innovation environment consisting of 300 designers with expertise in innovation, business design, service design, UX/UI, and accessibility. EGGS is present in 5 out of the 30 countries where Sopra Steria operates.

We are looking for someone who has a passion for creating societal value through inclusive design and digital transformation. You have analytical thinking and a data-driven decision-making ability, which helps you make well-founded decisions. Your pragmatic approach allows you to balance user needs, business goals, and technical constraints effectively. You are a creative problem solver with a focus on innovation and user experience, and you have a social and unpretentious approach that enables you to collaborate well with others.

Skills and Experience: 

  • At least 7 years of experience in UX/UI design with a proven ability to deliver user-centered solutions.
  • At least 5 years of experience in inclusive design and accessibility.
  • Experience as a consultant.
  • Experience leading UX deliveries and coordinating design delivery in projects with multiple stakeholders.
  • Deep understanding of WCAG (Web Content Accessibility Guidelines) and other relevant accessibility standards and legal requirements.
  • Strong background in user-centered design and design thinking.
  • Experience conducting research, insight work, and user studies to derive insights to ensure that solutions meet both user and business needs.
  • Experience with agile working methods and close collaboration with developers, teams, and product owners.
  • Strong ability to present and argue for UX solutions to various target groups, including management and clients.
  • Design and deliver user flows, wireframes, and prototypes with a focus on accessibility, UX & UI. You master both LoFi and HiFi design.
  • Experience training others in accessibility.
  • Experience working with accessibility in mobile applications, responsive websites, or digital services.

Skills and Technical Requirements:

  • You are proficient in Figma.
  • Knowledge to develop design systems that also meet accessibility requirements.
  • Understanding of frontend technologies such as HTML, CSS, and JavaScript to ensure implementability.
  • Knowledge of tools to simulate and assess accessibility experiences.
  • Good experience facilitating workshops with clients.
  • Certified in accessibility, e.g., CPACC or WAS.
