The technical department at Dramaten consists of five sections: Main Stage, Small Stage, Small Scenes housing Young Dramaten, the Development Section, and the Scenic Workshop. Together, we create the best conditions for the execution of Dramaten's productions. In a performance year, 5–6 productions have their premieres on the Main Stage, along with reprises, events, and rentals.

ABOUT THE ROLE

Your mission is to create the sound design for new productions, programming, recording, running performances, live mixing, and B-sound functions.You are responsible for maintaining high sound technical quality for the performances you run. As a technician at Dramaten, you participate in the construction and adjustment work on stage and contribute to the overall collaborative work of the stage.

WE ARE LOOKING FOR YOU WHO HAVE

• Relevant education
• Experience working as a sound technician focused on performing arts.
• Very good experience with sound programming in Qlab
• Good knowledge of and experience working with Dante networks.

PREFERABLE QUALIFICATIONS

• Experience with A&H D-Live mixer.
• Experience working with musical theater.
• Experience in lighting, video, and stage technical work.
• Experience working in a professional sound studio.

You have a good ability to work independently and take responsibility for your tasks. Since a large part of the work is project-based, where everyone contributes to completing a production, we also place high demands on the ability to communicate and collaborate.

The position is a fixed-term full-time contract from August 18, 2025 lasting until December 31, 2025. Working hours follow the needs of the operation and are scheduled for weekdays, evenings, and weekends.

Dramaten is a member of the employer organization Svensk Scenkonst and has collective agreements with Scen & Film, DIK, and the Musicians' Union.
