JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

Are you a structured, service-oriented, and communicative person who wants to make a difference in the association life? Do you want to lead an exciting development project that strengthens sports associations in Nordost and Biskopsgården, which are two of Gothenburg's prioritized areas? Then the position as a business developer with project responsibility within "Stronger IF" may be right for you! The project extends over two years. You will be employed on a project basis at the Sports and Association Administration and report to the unit manager.

The Sports and Association Administration is looking for a business developer with project responsibility who will both lead and develop the project at a strategic and operational level for the "Stronger IF" project. The project aims to create sustainable association structures, ensure long-term leadership supply, and strengthen the capacity of associations. The business developer will be responsible for driving the project forward together with the Gothenburg Football Association, RF-SISU Västra Götaland by coordinating resources and working closely with associations, partners, and other stakeholders.

The position is located in the Grants & Support Unit, which is one of two units that make up the Association Support Department. The unit consists of fifteen employees who together support the association life throughout Gothenburg City and work for a sustainable association life. The unit handles association grants, municipal guarantees, and provides consultative support and advice to the city's associations, facilitates premises, and carries out various assignments from orders of the committee or administrative management related to the association life. Today, we work with about 700 associations and disburse about 150 million in association support.

Evening and weekend work will be included in the position.

QUALIFICATIONS

We are looking for an engaged and driven person with a university degree in a relevant field, such as sports management or other education related to sports and associations. You have at least five years of experience in business development within the association life and possess a very good knowledge of the conditions and challenges of football.

To succeed in the role, experience in leading groups towards common goals and a good administrative ability is required, where you are used to communicating professionally both orally and in writing. A driver's license (B) is a requirement.

It is an advantage if you have knowledge in finance and budget work as well as experience in applying for and reporting association grants.

As a person, you are analytical and have the ability to identify and analyze the core of problems and propose solutions. You are driven, take initiative, and work result-oriented both independently and in teams. Furthermore, you are collaborative and work well with others by listening, showing respect, and understanding the common mission. A structured working style is crucial, where you effectively plan, organize, and prioritize tasks to achieve results. Additionally, you have a good overall perspective and can see your role in a larger context, where you collaborate with others to create value.
