School Informant for the Swedish Armed Forces

Are you a good ambassador for the Swedish Armed Forces? Do you enjoy meeting new people and want to represent the Armed Forces at school lectures, fairs, and events? If you have a strong drive and are interested in developing the Armed Forces' ability to inform students over 15 years old, you might be the one we are looking for.

Main Responsibilities

You will primarily work on delivering lectures in secondary and high schools for students aged 15 and above within Halland County. You will do this together with a colleague and be part of our attraction team where we support each other. You will also meet our target groups at educational fairs, events, and trial activities. You are part of the Air Defense's personnel department, which means that other tasks within the department may become relevant as time allows.

REQUIREMENTS

• Approved military basic training within the last three years
• Employable grades/certificates from equivalent GMU/GU or conscription
• Driver's license B, manual transmission
• Good computer skills (Windows/Office)
• Good verbal and written communication skills

Other Information

Employment type: The employment is based on the FM agreement for the employment of group leaders, soldiers, and sailors (GSS/K) and is a military employment. This means a fixed-term employment of up to eight years with the possibility of extension for four years. The employment begins with a six-month probationary period.

Work degree: Full-time
Working hours: 40 hours/week, daytime Monday to Friday, but work may be scheduled outside regular working hours and include business trips.

The Air Defense operates on the ground and is part of the army, but often collaborates with the Air Force. The Air Defense monitors the airspace with mobile sensors (such as radar), detects threats, and protects important objects and operations from attacks from the air through combat with missiles. The two air defense battalions included in the operational defense are trained and kept on standby by the Air Defense Regiment.
