Specialist Officer for Helicopter and Special Aviation Section
The Swedish Armed Forces Technical School (FMTS) is responsible for all technical training within the Armed Forces across all arenas. The Air Systems Department, part of the Training Unit (UtbE), is responsible for providing technical training on all types of aircraft within the Armed Forces and is now seeking a specialist officer to join the Helicopter and Special Aviation Section. Perhaps you are already working as a helicopter technician and are curious about developing as a teacher through instruction and pedagogy within the military aviation technical education field in the Armed Forces.
Main Responsibilities
The work primarily consists of being a teacher for theoretical training on Helicopter System 14 (HKP14) and through practical instruction in VMT14 (Virtual Maintenance Trainer). Training is conducted in Swedish with support from English publications. The position may also involve support to our other departments within the unit, mainly in the area of aviation technology, but may also include other tasks within the department's and school's areas of responsibility. You will be part of a team that together creates quality-assured technical training on Helicopter System 14 for tomorrow's helicopter technicians in the Armed Forces.
REQUIREMENTS
Qualifications
- Approved military aviation technical education SE-EMAR level B2
- Approved military type training SE-EMAR level B2 on HKP14
- Good proficiency in the Swedish language, both spoken and written
- Good knowledge of the English language
- Driver's license at least class B manual.
- Specialist officer (SO7).

As a person, you are proactive, social, and responsible. You have a strong interest in acquiring new knowledge and are driven to improve pedagogy within learning. Flexibility beyond your own area of responsibility is a necessity, both to support in other areas of expertise and to solve various forms of joint tasks, such as designing new courses. You have a good ability to work independently as well as in a team. Great emphasis will be placed on personal suitability.

The position is a military position as a specialist officer and is a permanent employment. The position is located at FMTS in Halmstad. Since FMTS works for an even gender distribution, we welcome female applicants for this position. Travel may occur in the position as some training is conducted at the Armed Forces' units. Start date according to agreement.

The Swedish Armed Forces Technical School, FMTS, based in Halmstad, is a logistics unit where technology is at the center.
