Research Assistant in Environmental Law

The Faculty of Law at Uppsala University is the oldest law faculty in the Nordic countries, established when the university was founded in 1477.

Here, there is a well-developed and respected undergraduate and doctoral education. The faculty houses the Department of Law, where approximately 200 people are employed.

Job Responsibilities

The research assistant will conduct research in environmental law and assist project researchers as needed, including administrative tasks related to the research. The project focuses on legal innovations in environmental law and statistical analysis of new environmental legal tools.

Qualifications

A bachelor's degree in law, and a master's degree in environmental law, or equivalent. You should also have documented experience working in research projects focused on environmental law. As an applicant, you should be able to collaborate easily and enjoy working both independently and in smaller project groups. Furthermore, personal suitability such as flexibility, problem-solving ability, and quality awareness is highly valued. Initiative and a structured working method are important for this position.

Desirable/meritorious qualifications

Experience/education in multiple legal systems Practical legal experience Interdisciplinary experience Academic publications.
