Bosgårdsskolan in Tvååker is under renovation, and we are currently in temporary premises. Our after-school program is now located at Centralskolan in Tvååker, where younger children (preschool class and grade 1) also receive their education.

At Centralskolan, about 20 staff members work together - teachers for preschool class and primary school, after-school educators, kitchen and cleaning staff, and student assistants. Almost ten of them work in the after-school program's three departments. We have a wonderful outdoor environment with large grass and asphalt areas, as well as proximity to playgrounds and green spaces. Together, we collaborate to continuously develop and improve our operations with the goal that all children should thrive and develop. We also want guardians to feel secure leaving their children in our after-school program!

JOB DESCRIPTION

As a teacher in our after-school program, you will be responsible, together with the rest of the team, for the after-school activities. This includes planning, documenting, and evaluating to develop the program based on the school's governing documents. We start from the students' needs, experiences, and thinking, and adapt our activities to the fact that students have different conditions. Our mission is to support students' social and general development, expand and deepen their knowledge and experiences, and offer active breaks and meaningful leisure time.

You will work in our after-school program where staff have different roles. The core task is the afternoon program, which is open from 1:15 PM to 6:15 PM. You work calmly and systematically with a low-arousal approach and maintain a positive and inclusive attitude towards students, colleagues, and parents.

Motivating and inspiring students is your greatest driving force. Together with your colleagues, you shape a relational leadership where the quality of teaching is the focus. We create the best possible meeting for learning.

As a teacher in the after-school program with us in Varberg Municipality, you play a central role in creating a safe, developing, and motivating environment for students. By planning, implementing, and following up on your varied teaching, you give students the opportunity to develop both socially and academically. You work to strengthen their creativity, curiosity, and self-esteem through play, creativity, and movement.

Together with your colleagues, you plan and follow up on the after-school program based on your choices of pedagogical and didactic strategies and methods, adapted to the students' needs and conditions. You meet each student in their knowledge progression and contribute to developing learning environments that encourage students' learning, participation, and influence.

QUALIFICATIONS

We are looking for someone who has a teaching license with qualifications for teaching in after-school programs. With a holistic view of learning and teaching, you see the opportunities to support students' development throughout the school day and create a red thread between school and after-school programs. It is advantageous if you have training/relevant knowledge about NPF.
