At FRA, we work on something that no one else does in Sweden, and you can be a part of it. Regardless of your role, we contribute to societal benefit by working towards a meaningful purpose — together we tackle unique tasks for Sweden's security and integrity.

We offer interesting tasks with good opportunities for personal development, and we are convinced that a mix of people with different backgrounds creates a dynamic and creative work environment – our differences are our strength.

Do you want to contribute to societal benefit and support Sweden's independence in the world? FRA is now looking for you with an interest in global affairs and Russian language skills for the role of analyst in military intelligence. With us, you will have the opportunity to develop and deepen your knowledge while making a difference every day. At FRA, we work on unique tasks – for Sweden's security and integrity.

Your mission

The world is FRA's arena. Our task as an intelligence agency is to protect Sweden from the most serious threats that can be directed against society – military attacks, terrorism, and cyberattacks. We do this to protect what is most important to us – our security, our democracy, and our way of life. As an intelligence analyst, you belong to a unit within the Signals Intelligence department. The department works on processing and analyzing collected material to report unique and requested intelligence in a timely manner to our clients, primarily the Swedish Armed Forces in this position.

Signals intelligence is inherently complex and can be likened to a craft where scientific methodology, creativity, subject knowledge, and intuition are equally important components. In the role of analyst in military intelligence, your main task is to contribute to intelligence production within air combat forces or naval combat forces in the short and long term, primarily by:

  • Processing and analyzing various types of material
  • Formulating and presenting results in written and oral form

In the long run, you will also represent the agency both nationally and internationally.

In this role, you will work both independently and in a group to collaboratively solve complex intelligence needs. You will be part of a workgroup where employees are engaged and unpretentious with different backgrounds, skills, and knowledge. We work within the same intelligence mission but have different expertise and strengths. With us, you will receive the introduction and specific training required for the position. You will never be fully trained here; there is a constant development of your skills in daily tasks in addition to planned training.

The operations are characterized by high confidentiality, and it is important that you feel comfortable with that.

You can

We are looking for someone who has:

  • Good reading and listening comprehension in Russian
  • Very good knowledge of Swedish and English in both spoken and written form
  • Good computer skills
  • Experience in analyzing complex documents and formulating results in writing

We consider it an advantage if you have:

  • Knowledge of or interest in military affairs
  • Knowledge of or interest in military platforms
  • Experience in signals intelligence or intelligence work
  • Experience from working within the Armed Forces or related agencies
  • Experience from studies or work in areas where Russian is spoken
  • Interest in security, foreign, and defense policy

You are

We will place great emphasis on your personal qualities and are looking for someone with strong analytical and communication skills. As a person, you are curious, creative, and proactive. You are quality-conscious and have a good ability to create structure in your daily work by setting clear goals and timelines. Furthermore, your ability to maintain focus and perseverance is of great importance. You enjoy collaborating and understand the importance of both sharing your knowledge and learning from others. You thrive in an environment characterized by continuous learning where you are eager to develop and maintain your skills. The position requires a strong awareness of security, great loyalty, and good judgment.

Our offer

At FRA, every task is part of something larger. In one way or another, you as an employee will contribute to protecting Sweden's integrity and independence in the world. You are truly making a difference every day.

Our employees have high competence, but we can always improve. Therefore, professional development is a given for us. We offer opportunities for skill development. As a new employee, you will broaden your skills immediately with a comprehensive introductory training that gives you a greater understanding of the mission and helps you integrate into the organization. As an employee, you will also have the opportunity to find the right training within your specialty to become even better at what you are passionate about.

We value good health among our employees and offer, among other things, wellness during working hours if the work allows. Other benefits we offer include a gym at the workplace and leader-led activities, free parking, time off on bridge days if work allows, extended parental leave, and scenic surroundings.

With us, you will become one of the best. In your own way.
