Torsby Hospital is a pleasant workplace with several advantages.

Characteristics of us include good collaboration between units, short decision-making paths, and close contact with the management team. We care about efficiency, accessibility, and quality. Under the Outpatient Clinic, all planned specialist clinics and mobile teams are available. We have about 40 employees, and working hours are scheduled during the day from Monday to Friday. At Torsby Hospital, three dietitians work together to share the tasks.

The sense of community is always present at Torsby Hospital, and all units play a central role in working with and around our patients. We are a small hospital in northern Värmland with a big heart and commitment to our patients and employees, where all units and partners are highlighted as an important part of the hub for work to flow smoothly and safely for those who visit us. At the hospital, we care about the health and well-being of our staff, and we have access to our own staff gym and a personal trainer.

Your Tasks

Your tasks include nutritional assessment and treatment of inpatients in our two wards: surgery/orthopedics and medicine. You will also meet patients on referral within outpatient care, conduct group education, provide telephone advice, and conduct remote visits.

As a dietitian, you provide knowledge support to other healthcare staff and are part of teamwork around different patient groups. The work is very varied and free, and you have great opportunities to influence how you structure your day.

Torsby Hospital is the only hospital in Värmland that works with obesity surgery, where the dietitian plays a significant role in the process before and after surgery. The obesity team consists of nurses, a dietitian, and surgeons.

At Torsby Hospital, two other dietitians work, giving you the opportunity to consult in case of uncertainty. We provide you with an individually tailored introduction. We offer a fun and rewarding job with flexible working hours and the possibility to work remotely to some extent.

Your Skills/Competencies

We are looking for a licensed dietitian; experience in the field is considered an advantage. To thrive in the role, you need to appreciate working independently and structuring and executing your tasks efficiently. You see opportunities in changes and can adapt to changing circumstances. We also place great emphasis on your ability to collaborate, as teamwork constitutes a large part of the work.
