The Elderly Sector in Kil Municipality is responsible for the authority's exercise regarding elderly care and social psychiatry according to the Social Services Act, as well as interventions according to the Act on Support and Service for Certain Disabled Persons (LSS). The sector is also responsible for the execution of all elderly care, municipal health and medical care, rehabilitation, memory teams, and support for relatives.

Description

The nursing team belongs to the Health, Care, and Interventions unit, where municipal rehabilitation, assistance officers, memory teams, support for relatives, and fee officers also work. The team works specifically with short-term placements, special housing, home healthcare, ordinary housing, support for people with disabilities, and social psychiatry. Here, you will be part of a skilled and professional nursing team that wants to welcome new colleagues in the best way. Nurses in home healthcare for ordinary and special housing, support for people with disabilities, and social psychiatry operate from the center of Kil, where we have our shared offices and travel to patients' homes by walking, cycling, or using the municipality's cars.

Responsibilities

As a district nurse/nurse in home healthcare, your main responsibilities will be to manage health and medical care interventions. You will perform independent assessments, medical treatments, and nursing interventions for our patients. Daily work also includes preventive efforts to maintain health and well-being.

The job requires a great deal of flexibility in the daily planning structure. Patients' health and well-being can change quickly, and priorities become significant for daily work, meaning that the day's work plan may need to be restructured rapidly.

You enjoy planning and working independently but have a strong ability to collaborate within the team and cross-professionally. You can see solutions when obstacles arise. No two days are alike, but with good collaboration within the entire nursing team, we succeed together in our mission to provide health and medical care interventions to the citizens of Kil Municipality whom we serve.

The position also includes delegating and guiding care and support staff in health and medical care interventions and providing professional support to patients and relatives.

Working hours are scheduled for days, evenings, weekends, and nights. We are responsive to your wishes and create personal schedules where we can offer both day, evening, weekend, and night shifts based on the needs of the operation. You also have the opportunity to work both full-time or part-time with us.

Qualifications

You are a licensed nurse. It is advantageous if you have completed further education to become a district nurse or have experience in elderly care and home healthcare.

Great importance is placed on personal qualities.
