We are looking for an accommodation manager in Halmstad, based in Oskarström.

What does an accommodation manager do?

As a summer substitute accommodation manager, you will support the regular staff in their daily work. You will take care of and inspect the Migration Agency's asylum accommodations. You will equip rooms and apartments to meet the required standards and report faults to the landlord/supplier. Your work will include managing service and logistics around the accommodation and planning to ensure that accommodation places are used efficiently and appropriately. You will handle documentation and administration related to the accommodation. The work is physically demanding to some extent.

You will introduce individuals to the accommodation and the local community. You will provide support, service, and information to residents and external stakeholders. As an accommodation manager, you will handle situations that arise in the accommodation and identify and address specific needs that individuals may have.

You thrive on variation and can easily adapt and change your viewpoint and approach when circumstances change. You plan, organize, and prioritize your work effectively. You set and adhere to deadlines.

In our work as civil servants, there are also high demands for judgment and a strong awareness of security and confidentiality.

Requirements for applicants

  • High school education or other education deemed equivalent by the employer
  • Good communication skills and express yourself well in spoken and written Swedish
  • Experience in work requiring good service and professional interaction
  • Good knowledge of the Office suite
  • Driver's license (B)

It is advantageous if you have

  • Experience in practical work such as property maintenance, housing support, support assistant, home care, or similar work
  • Academic education
  • Experience working with people in vulnerable situations
