About the position
As a municipal guide, you work to provide guidance, answer questions, and provide information about the municipality's activities to citizens and employees within Örebro Municipality. You work from a holistic perspective with a focus on providing the best reception and service in every contact. The workday is scheduled, and you perform the task via phone, computer, or in our open visitor operations.
Examples of tasks:
- answer questions, provide information about the municipality's activities, and guide citizens and employees within Örebro Municipality via phone, email, and in visitor operations
- guide citizens in using e-services
- make assessments on whether cases should be handled directly or forwarded according to routine
- use and document in various operational systems
About the workplace
The Service Center has two parts, an external and an internal. The external part is the citizens' entry point to the municipality's activities, and the internal part is the entry point for Örebro Municipality's employees to the municipal management administration's departments. We work on behalf of all the municipality's activities. There are about 55 people working at the Service Center, and we belong to the Communications Department within the Municipal Management Administration, whose task is to provide support to committees and administrations.
The Service Center's visitor operations are centrally located on Näbbtorgsgatan, and other operations are conducted in nice premises in Citypassagen. With us, you will be welcomed by wonderful colleagues, and you will receive thorough training in the work.
Qualifications
As a municipal guide, you need to be secure, stable, and able to distinguish between the private and professional. You are interested in helping others and are good at meeting different people based on their individual needs and circumstances. You collaborate well with others and are attentive in your approach. Furthermore, you are responsible, can prioritize, and adapt to changing circumstances.
The work also requires good communication skills, which means that you can express yourself clearly and structured in Swedish, both orally and in writing, and document what the operation requires.

Requirements:
- degree from high school education assessed as relevant for the position
- documented, current, and relevant experience of work in support via phone and email, customer service and/or customer reception
- documented experience of digital working methods, information retrieval, and using several different digital systems simultaneously (e.g., case management systems, invoicing systems, and personnel systems)
Meritorious:
- experience of working in a contact center or service center
- experience of working in public operations
Scope and start date
Employment form: 2 permanent positions, 1 temporary position for 1 year
Employment rate: 100%
Start date: April 15 or by agreement
Number of positions: 3
