Building and maintaining roads and infrastructure is significant. Contributing to societal development is even greater. With us, you can do both. We are now looking for a coordinator for the Industrial division and our manufacturing operations. Our work is seasonal, and production mainly takes place during the summer months. At Svevia, we combine the community and team spirit of a small company with the stability of a large corporation. Here, you will have the opportunity to develop as a road specialist - with commitment, collaboration, and responsibility.
Your mission as a Coordinator
We prioritize safety and work environment issues in our operations, genuinely. In this role, you will work closely with production and support managers and employees on safety and work environment issues, as well as cross-departmental initiatives. For example, this includes:
- Operationally support managers and projects in various tasks such as conducting rounds in operations and developing work preparations for projects.
- Be responsible for training before the season regarding work environment and safety, requirement training, and ensure that these issues are raised in various forums during the season.
- Act as an extension of the support provided by the Industrial staff and KMA group to the operations. They work more strategically in the area, and your mission will be to implement and support the practical execution.
- Be the environmental, quality, and training coordinator for the department.
- Project manage various initiatives regarding safety and work environment.
In the role of coordinator, you will collaborate with department heads, work managers, and site managers who are geographically located between Stockholm/Örebro in the north and Helsingborg in the south.
Location and flexibility
The location for this position is the Örebro region. Some of the work will, of course, be done remotely, but to work with groups, inform, and educate, it needs to be done in person. Therefore, travel several times a month is required, and a B driver's license is a must.
Who are you?
For this exciting position, we are looking for someone who is curious, organized, and flexible. We also believe that you are driven by nature and want to provide support and service to production managers. In this recruitment, we value personality and the right mental attitude over education and experience. It is advantageous if you have worked in our industry before, but it is not a requirement. Good computer skills are a must.
We view positively that you both thrive and have the desire to work in an operational role with varied tasks. The idea is that you will work closely with production and support managers and the operations “hands-on.” For us, this means practically helping and executing, not just giving instructions and guidance.
Furthermore, you are a good communicator who can adapt your message to different target groups and is a catalyst for change. You see the value in being physically present at our workplaces when needed to build relationships, create effective collaborations, and ensure that information and training reach effectively.
The position is a permanent employment, and a probationary period may apply. Start date according to agreement, but for us as soon as possible.
A part of something bigger
Svevia's industrial division is in an expansive phase, and the ambitions are high. The goal is to be a leading player in paving in Sweden.
Behind every road lies more than the obvious surface: a whole industry of knowledge and delivery capability. Our offering is an industrial process. From stone to finished road.
Everything starts with a quarry, which then becomes ballast, which in turn is used in the production of asphalt, which is finally laid on the road. With over 100 own quarries, own production of asphalt, bitumen emulsion, and thermoplastics, we have a breadth that no one else has. In our laboratories, we conduct material analyses and ensure that the products meet standards and requirements. And our skilled teams in milling, paving, tank coating, and road marking ensure that the delivery is complete.
Why Svevia?
With us, you quickly become part of the team, and we care about being a workplace for everyone. The decision-making paths are short, and it is easy to influence and make your voice heard.
We have career paths for you who want to become a manager and leader or want to develop in your existing professional role. It is as a team that we create success. That is how we do business and generate results. That is how we make cities and countryside function. Do you want to share the road with us?
Application and information
You can easily apply by sending in your CV and answering a few selection questions. Our recruitment process is based on a competency-based approach, which is a prerequisite for recruiting quality securely, inclusively, and free from bias. Therefore, we do not want a personal letter.
The recruitment process includes tests of personality and problem-solving ability, interviews, and reference checks.
Submit your application as soon as possible and no later than March 24. Selection is ongoing and may be filled before the application deadline.
If you have questions about the position, you can contact the recruiting Department Head Erik Andersson at erik.andersson@svevia.se (mailto:erik.andersson@svevia.se). For questions about the process, you can contact HR Business Partner Oskar Knaust at oskar.knaust@svevia.se.
We have made a decision regarding advertising, which means that we do not wish to receive sales calls for further questions regarding advertising, recruitment, or staffing.
