JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
As a full-time firefighter at Årjäng Fire Service, you will work with preventive and emergency rescue operations in case of fire, accidents, rescue efforts, and other community functions. You will also participate in training, exercises, and contribute to carrying out all tasks within the daily operations and preparedness of the organization and municipal group. You will have the opportunity to develop yourself both personally and professionally.

You have a good ability to plan and structure your work.
We will place great importance on personal suitability.
Regulated working hours of 40 hours per week. Overtime compensation does not apply during standby time. This is regulated separately. Working hours are scheduled from Monday to Sunday according to a rolling three-week schedule. Nighttime standby is included.
Probationary employment may occur.
Before employment can be considered, you must be prepared to present a criminal record extract and undergo a health examination with a satisfactory result. Other tests may also be relevant during the recruitment phase. If necessary, personality tests may be conducted. Our aim is for you to be assigned to a position within our organization.

QUALIFICATIONS
We are looking for someone who is a firefighter with an approved part-time firefighter/rescue operation/basic training for standby fire service personnel (GRIB) or an approved SMO education/full-time firefighter or other education that the employer assesses as equivalent.
Good computer skills in the Office suite, especially in Word and PowerPoint, are required.
A C driver's license is required.
Swim proficiency.
Meritorious
- We consider it meritorious if you have several years of experience in fire service.
- Experience working at a full-time station may be an additional merit.
- CE driver's license or BE/B96 driver's license.
- Good computer skills in the fire service's operational system Daedalos.
- Experience working with flammable and/or explosive materials according to LBE.
- Rescue leader training (at least RäLed A or equivalent).
- Completed training in Supervision and other accident prevention activities A (and possibly B) with satisfactory results.
- Instructor training for vehicles and/or fire service equipment such as chainsaws, hydraulic tools, indicating equipment, etc.
- Experience in fire service with special competence such as HEAVY RESCUE, CHEMICAL/HAZARDOUS MATERIALS, or anything else that could contribute to the development of our fire service.
- Local knowledge.
- Other competencies that the employer deems relevant.
Conditions

- Certificate from the examination from rescue operations/GRIB, SMO, full-time firefighter, or equivalent education that the employer assesses as equivalent.
- Personal letter (preferably with references) and CV. Please ensure that your CV and personal letter are as detailed as possible to reflect your profile in relation to our wishes and requirements. Please describe your understanding of our community and how this may affect the design of a modern fire service.
- Test protocol from treadmill test 4.5 km/h at an incline of 8 degrees for six minutes (8 including warm-up) and this must have been completed in the last 6 months. Can be supplemented afterwards and sent to krister.davidssson@arjang.se
- You must have a valid BC driver's license. A copy of the driver's license must be attached.
- Certificate that you can swim at least 200 meters (not older than 12 months).
