About the Role

Are you ready to combine security with excitement in a whole new role? We are now looking for engaged and responsible summer substitutes who want to be part of our security team and contribute to a safer working environment for our client.

As part of our team, you will play a central role in the daily security work. The position is a combination role where you, together with your colleagues, will perform a variety of tasks, focusing on surveillance and security. In this role, you will receive a range of training to have optimal conditions to solve your tasks.

Examples of tasks:

• Surveillance assignments in the form of patrolling and stationary surveillance
• Preventive fire protection work
• Rescue operations
• Exercises
• Work at heights and in confined spaces

You will work according to a 5:2 schedule, which means that you work five days one week and two days the next. Since we have staffing around the clock, you will rotate between day and night shifts monthly. The length of the shifts will be 12 hours.

Requirements

You need to have approved high school grades in Swedish and English. We also want you to have a B driver's license as you will be using a car in the job.

Specific requirements:

• Approved high school grades in Swedish and English
• B driver's license

In addition to the above requirements, we also see that you have experience and/or education in at least one of the following:

• Fire and rescue
• Security industry
• Preventive fire protection work
• Technical solutions

Physical requirements:

Since the position is governed by MSB's regulations for the employment of firefighters (Smoke and chemical diving (AFS 2007:7), regulations - Swedish Work Environment Authority), certain requirements are placed on your physical ability. Note the examples in the link where a fitness certificate cannot be issued, which includes, among other things, certain visual impairments, reduced hearing, and various illnesses/diagnoses.

In the recruitment process, the following steps will therefore be carried out;

- Medical examination, according to AFS 2019:3 (Smoke and chemical diving 74§-76§) where all requirements must be met.

- Treadmill test; Your physical work capacity is evaluated through six minutes of walking on an inclined treadmill at a speed of 4.5 km/h. During the test, you must wear the work equipment used in the job excluding the breathing mask.

You will also have extra weight on you weighing at least 24 kg.

- Drug test (if you do not already have employment at Securitas).

• The positions are summer substitutes full-time from May 19 to August 31 with possible changes. We apply a 6-month probationary period.

For employment within Securitas Sverige AB, it is required that you have approved grades from high school in Swedish and English and are approved by the County Administrative Board for employment in an authorized security company according to the Law (1974:191) on security companies (the application is made by Securitas). Depending on the position, a security clearance according to the Security Protection Act (2018:585) may also be relevant. To investigate and assess whether you meet the requirements to be approved according to each regulation, a background check will be conducted. The assessment concerns legal compliance, suitability, reliability, loyalty, and any vulnerabilities. Information obtained may, for example, come from you, open sources, or authorities. We apply a holistic assessment when evaluating suitability for each position.

Salary and employment conditions are based on the collective agreement between the employer organization Security Companies and the Swedish Transport Workers' Union.
