Avaron AB is a leading consulting partner working with exciting technological challenges within safety-critical systems. We collaborate with several technology-intensive clients and offer opportunities to help develop advanced products within the defense industry. We are currently seeking a Systems Security Engineer for a consulting assignment with a prominent client in Karlskoga.

Responsibilities

In the role of Systems Security Engineer, you will play a central role in product development by:

• Identifying and analyzing security risks in the early stages of the development process
• Developing and implementing security requirements in close collaboration with technical teams
• Conducting design analyses and verifying that the final product meets established requirements
• Communicating both the big picture and the technical details with responsible parties for various subsystems
• Participating in cross-functional projects where you collaborate with engineers from multiple disciplines

Qualifications (Must-Haves)

To thrive in this role, you should have:

• A master's degree in engineering or equivalent, with at least five years of experience in a relevant field
• Solid experience in systematic safety work, preferably with elements of software, mechanics, and/or electronics
• The ability to see both the big picture and the details in complex systems
• Good ability to collaborate and drive projects independently
• Excellent communication skills in Swedish and English, both spoken and written
• Experience working with structured processes and methodologies in product development

Desirable (Nice to Have)

We see it as a significant advantage if you have:

• Previous experience working according to established safety standards, such as MIL-STD 882E or equivalent
• Experience in consulting assignments in technology-intensive environments, preferably with products in the defense sector
• The ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and adapt to varying assignments
