JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

Are you an experienced economist with a strong ability to lead and manage complex financial processes? We are now looking for a Group Controller who will play a key role in ensuring effective financial management, monitoring, and reporting within Oxelösund Municipality. In this position, you will have overall responsibility for several financial processes ranging from year-end closing to investments and financial management.

Main job responsibilities:

• Financial monitoring and year-end closing: Responsible for and lead the work with year-end closing, interim financial statements, and monitoring.
• Economist for the municipal executive office: This role includes supporting the head of department and budget managers in the work with budgets, forecasts, and year-end closing.
• Financial management: This role includes managing the municipality's loan situation and tax forecast calculations.
• Budget process: Support in the budget process by conducting framework calculations and calculations for investments, as well as contributing to goal-setting.

QUALIFICATIONS

• Academic degree in economics or equivalent, and several years of experience in financial management, preferably in the public sector.
• Experience working with year-end closing, interim financial statements, investments, budget work, and financial monitoring.
• Experience in financial management, including work with pensions, depreciation, and financial costs.
• Strong leadership skills and the ability to collaborate with various functions and levels within the organization.
• Ability to analyze complex financial issues and communicate results in a clear and understandable manner.
• Experience working closely with decision-makers and contributing to strategic financial planning.
