Communicator with a focus on graphic design

We are looking for someone who excels in communication and graphic design and who wants to help us get more people to discover what makes Halland special.

About the job

You will have a varied and broad role as a communicator at Visit Halland, but the focus will be on graphic design. Together with the rest of the in-house team at Visit Halland - which is the tourism department of Region Halland - you will be part of the exciting journey to get even more people to discover and experience all the beauty of Halland. Our common mission is to sustainably increase the number of international guests to Halland, primarily from Germany, Denmark, and Norway.

Your work will involve a mix of graphic design, content production, project management, and other communication tasks.

Examples of tasks:

  • Create graphic materials for various channels: design posters, brochures, digital ads, and other marketing materials in accordance with our brand.
  • Project management: drive and implement communication projects and collaborate with both colleagues and external actors (e.g., printers, agencies, photographers, and other destinations).
  • Text & content production: produce texts and other content for visithalland.com, social media, and ads. You will also deliver materials in the form of text and images for newsletters, press releases, advertorials, etc.
  • Web and digital channels: update, produce, and publish content on, among others, visithalland.com and social channels.
  • Idea and concept development: help generate creative ideas for campaigns and communication efforts.
  • Social media: participate in the work with strategy, content production, and analysis for social media.

About the workplace

We are Visit Halland, the tourism department of Region Halland. Our purpose is to sustainably attract more international guests to find their way here and contribute to increased growth in Halland. Today, we are 14 people at Visit Halland working with everything from destination development to marketing. The team working with communication consists of 5 people, and our goal is to make more people long for Halland.

About you

We are looking for someone with a post-secondary education in graphic design, communication, or equivalent that we consider comparable. You have documented experience in graphic design and operational communication work and therefore have extensive experience working in Adobe Creative Suite (InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator). If you have previously worked in tourism or place marketing, that is a plus.

We are looking for someone who enjoys working in a team but also independently drives your processes forward. You take initiative, work in a structured way, and are a skilled project manager. It is also important that you are unpretentious and flexible and can sometimes step in where needed. You are used to working with different target groups and adapt communication to their needs.

As we work a lot with international communication, you should be proficient in English in both spoken and written form. If you can also write in German, Danish, or Norwegian, it is an advantage.

We also see it as very positive if you have worked with UX design, digital accessibility, and have experience with basic programming.
