Blekinge Air Wing is looking for a Logistics Officer for the Wing Staff

Blekinge Air Wing is a unit that is constantly on the right path and you are a key person for the unit. Together we create the capability to conduct exercises, missions, and operations within and outside Sweden.

The Wing Staff supports the Wing Commander in leading and following up on operations, preparing decision-making materials, and also supporting other commanders within the unit. The logistics function of the Wing Staff, A4, manages and functions as the logistics service within the wing.

Main Responsibilities

Your main responsibilities are to support the logistics chief by following up on the logistics situation regarding availability and status of F 17 existing material. Together with the logistics officer and logistics administrators, you are responsible for presenting an up-to-date logistics situation for the logistics chief. You will also participate in development work within logistics both within F 17 and within the Air Force and the Armed Forces.

Your tasks also include leading and coordinating larger projects regarding war unit planning, exercise planning, mobilization, and readiness issues within the framework of A4. You will participate in central and local logistics preparations for exercises, missions, and operations. This occurs both nationally and internationally within the framework of NATO. You should also be prepared to accompany as a logistics representative primarily during exercises but also during missions and operations.

Your tasks also include responding to external suppliers regarding other logistics support.

Qualifications

• Professional officer
• Driver's license B (manual transmission)
• Very good ability to express yourself verbally and in writing in Swedish and English

Meritorious

• Experience from previous service in a position as a logistics officer or similar tasks within supply management.
• Experience with the Armed Forces' accounting systems PRIO and LIFT
• Experience in staff duties
• Experience in planning work
• International service

Personal Qualities

You are meticulous, structured, and responsible and can work at a high pace and have the ability to shift focus when necessary. You have the ability to collaborate with many stakeholders both within and outside the Armed Forces.

Other

The position is an OF 1/2. The job involves travel and participation in exercises and operations. Work location: Ronneby. Start date according to agreement.

Blekinge Air Wing trains three war units; two fighter squadrons with Jas 39 Gripen and a base unit. The fighter squadrons are an important part of protecting Sweden's airspace, which is called incident readiness. The base unit is the largest war unit that contains everything needed to get the Gripen aircraft in the air. This includes maintenance of the aircraft, protection of the base, logistics, and operation of the airfield. The wing also trains the Air Force's only ranger unit, the airbase rangers. Their task includes gathering information through reconnaissance and protecting the air combat forces' personnel and vehicles.
