Logistics Officer at the Swedish Armed Forces
In this position, you will be part of the unit's logistics department. The tasks are solved through collaboration within the department, with other departments in the staff, and with subordinate units. Furthermore, cooperation with other units and dialogues with rear support at FMLOG, FMTS, FMTIS, FMV, and in some cases, civilian suppliers are important.
About the Unit
The Logistics Department, N4, is one of several functions in the unit's staff and supports both the operational department (here and now) and the planning department (long-term planning). At the same time, functional management of internal logistics is carried out to provide our own units with the capability and endurance to solve their assigned tasks. The department usually works in an office environment, but field service occurs, mainly in connection with exercises and operational activities. As the unit has components spread across several operational locations in the country, travel in service also occurs. The logistics function in the Swedish Armed Forces covers a broad area where: supply management, technical services, defense medicine, transport services, and other logistics constitute the main parts.
Main Responsibilities
- Material planning and management in the PRIO/SAP and LIFT systems, both short and long-term
- Material requirements setting
- Inventory
- Administration of personal equipment
- Warehouse movements
- Conduct training regarding the Armed Forces' support systems
- Participate in unit staff functions during exercises related to your functional area
- Support other logistics functions within the department
- Support subordinate units in supply management
REQUIREMENTS
Qualifications
- Military professional officer training NBO, SOU, OP
- Minimum level OR7/OF2
- Logistics experience within land and/or naval domains
- Training and/or knowledge of the Armed Forces' logistics processes
- Good knowledge of several of the Armed Forces' support systems PRIO (SAP), LIFT-L, and RSF
- Good language skills in Swedish and English, both spoken and written
- Driver's license *B* (manual transmission)

The position is characterized by a high degree of personal responsibility where you are expected to be self-driven, meticulous, structured, and possess analytical skills. You thrive and are driven by working under time pressure and have the ability to change pace when required. The ability to work independently and in a team is a prerequisite. Meritorious
- Knowledge of other command and logistics systems in the Armed Forces (e.g., SWECCIS, ISUS, IOR)
- Experience in logistics management
- Good knowledge of the Armed Forces in general and the Navy's organization and units in particular
- Previous experience in staff duties
Other
The employment is a permanent position, with a 6-month probationary period, unless you are already employed by the Armed Forces. With employment comes the obligation to be war-placed, participate in training, exercises, and operations, both domestically and internationally. Unusual working hours may occur.
Start date: As soon as possible or by agreement.
Work location: Karlskrona.

The overarching task of the Naval Base is to support the naval units with logistics in the form of transport, basing, surveillance, and medical care, both at home and abroad. The Naval Base has its headquarters in Karlskrona but operates where needed, for example in Berga/Muskö, south of Stockholm, and in Gothenburg. Other major tasks for the Naval Base include monitoring Sweden's 2700 km long coastline with territorial waters.
