The 3rd Helicopter Squadron operates at Blekinge Air Force Wing in Ronneby. We are one of four squadrons and belong to the Helicopter Wing in Linköping. At the squadron in Ronneby, we have about 185 employees.

The staff at the 3rd Helicopter Squadron in Ronneby is now recruiting a logistics officer.

About the position

As a logistics officer, you will belong to the staff and be its primary representative within the function. Your main tasks are to lead the work within the function and its various parts such as supply management, technical service, transport service, and other logistics. Your position includes both administrative and practical work where you will be part of the unit's planning, execution, and follow-up both in daily work and during exercises, missions, and operations. You should be able to independently plan activities to support the unit during exercises, missions, and operations as a quartermaster and potential transport management. Other activities that may occur include maintaining basic soldier skills for the unit's soldiers.

The work also involves conducting internal training within the Armed Forces, participating in exercises, and, if necessary, being expected to serve in international missions.

General requirements

  • Approved military service or basic military training (GMU)
  • Approved specialist officer training or officer exam
  • Good physical ability (tested during the interview)
  • Documented education equivalent to at least high school education.
  • Proficiency in Swedish and English, both spoken and written
  • Driving license B

Desirable qualifications:

  • Military driver's license for heavy truck or Pb and minibus
  • C and/or CE driving license
  • Position training in Logistics Ground or Supply Sea
  • Documented education and experience working in the Armed Forces' support systems LIFT and PRIO
  • Training in NATO Logistics
  • Training in PRIO technical service/MOF
  • Experience with the Armed Forces' inventory process
  • Experience in transport management

The Armed Forces' Helicopter Wing is a unit with both land and sea operational focus that can operate in missions in Sweden and internationally.

Helicopter support is requested by many. For example, for personnel, material, or medical transport, command, reconnaissance, or surveillance assignments. The Helicopter Wing often participates in missions and exercises with other units but also supports society in various crisis situations.

Our operations span across Sweden, and the breadth of tasks and the size of the wing with over 950 employees provide a variety of work and opportunities for personal development. The majority of the Helicopter Wing is located in Linköping (Malmen), where we also manage Malmen Airfield and Linköping Garrison, with two large units in Luleå (Kallax) and Ronneby (Kallinge).
