Material Mechanic/Group Leader for 3rd Helicopter Squadron
The Swedish Armed Forces exist to protect Sweden in times of crisis and war, and the 3rd Helicopter Squadron in Ronneby is an important part of Sweden's helicopter capability. Our mission requires broad knowledge, and as an employee with us, you will become an important part of Sweden's defense.
About the Unit:
The Swedish Armed Forces Helicopter Wing is a unit with both land and maritime operational focus, participating in exercises and missions nationally and internationally. The 3rd Helicopter Squadron operates at Blekinge Air Force Wing in Ronneby. We are one of four squadrons belonging to the Swedish Armed Forces Helicopter Wing. At the squadron, we have about 175 employees, both military and civilian.
About the Position:
As a material mechanic, your task is to support aviation material technicians with the handling of spare parts for helicopters, conduct inspections and maintenance on tools, units, storage materials, and other airworthiness-affecting base materials.
The position includes:
- Work with wheel loaders, heavy trucks, load carriers, and forklifts
- Training and operational activities.
- Readiness tasks
- Maintaining soldier skills and competencies
- Regular physical training
As an aviation material mechanic, you play an important role far up in the supply chain, close to the squadron's operational components, i.e., the helicopters. Tasks will be solved both at the main base and in field environments, in peace, crisis, and war, within or outside Sweden. The Swedish Armed Forces and the 3rd Helicopter Squadron are experiencing strong growth, and the tasks may evolve over time.
Qualifications:
- Completed approved military basic training (conscription/GMU/GU)
- Swedish citizenship
- Swedish driver's license minimum category B
- Good knowledge of Swedish and English, both spoken and written
- Meet the physical requirements of the position
Desirable Experiences:
- Ground mechanic
- Material service
- Logistics service
- Group leader qualification
- ADR certification class 1, 3, and tank
- Forklift license category A and B.
- Military driver's license PB manual transmission, Tlb, Tslp, Minibus, Tptgb, Wheel loader, FMFG1000
- Wheel loader and telescopic loader
- Experience of similar tasks and/or relevant education for the applied position
