Our mission towards the Navy is unique, and we are in an exciting phase of growth.

The 3rd Helicopter Squadron operates at Blekinge Air Force Wing in Ronneby. We are one of four squadrons and belong to the Helicopter Wing in Linköping. At the squadron in Ronneby, we have about 185 employees.

About the position:

We are currently seeking an Intelligence Officer for the Implementation Section at the 3rd Helicopter Squadron's staff. The Implementation Section includes both intelligence personnel and planning officers who together staff the Mission Support Element (MSE) during exercises and operations. Much of the daily work also aims to support the squadron's daily flight operations and readiness.

Main responsibilities

  • Conduct area analysis and share intelligence with the squadron's personnel.
  • Train personnel at the unit regarding foreign combat forces.
  • Perform work within the framework of the local security service.
  • Assist in solving tasks within the department's and staff's other areas of responsibility according to the section and staff chief's assessment.
  • Serve as an intelligence officer in the Mission Support Element (MSE).
  • Readiness may occur.

Qualifications

  • Specialist Officer (SO) 6/7
  • Good knowledge of Swedish and English (spoken and written)
  • Driver's license class B

You have a strong interest in analyzing and processing information and actively keeping yourself updated on current events in the world and in our region. You enjoy tasks that vary in content, pace, and scope. You are driven and have a strong desire to develop.

Great emphasis will be placed on personal qualities and suitability.

Meritorious

  • Completed the specialist officer program UND MSE/air/land
  • Previous service in intelligence and security positions
  • Previous international service in intelligence and security positions
  • Previous service at a military staff
  • Advanced Security and Intelligence Training
  • Experience in flight mission planning

The position requires physical ability, travel for service, operational activities, and participation in both training and exercise activities.

The Armed Forces Helicopter Wing is a unit with both land and maritime operational focus that can operate in missions in Sweden and internationally.

Helicopter support is in demand by many. For example, for personnel, material, or medical transport, command, reconnaissance, or surveillance missions. The Helicopter Wing often participates in missions and exercises with other units but also as support to society in various crisis situations.

Our operations across Sweden, the breadth of tasks, and the size of the wing with over 950 employees provide variety in work and opportunities for personal development.
