Do you want to work in a role where every assignment is unique and where your technical competence makes a difference for our customers? Within the Business Area Rock Processing and the Division Crushing Solutions, you will develop customer-specific and technically advanced solutions for the mining and process industries.

About the role

As a Mechanical Designer within Engineer-to-Order (ETO), you develop customized products and unique customer solutions, primarily within the mining industry. You are responsible for the design work throughout the entire chain – from idea and requirement analysis to the final solution and handover to production, with a focus on quality, safety, and cost.

Safety is a natural part of the role. You integrate EHS (Environment, Health, and Safety) into your daily work, follow current guidelines, take responsibility for risk assessments, and have the authority to stop work in case of immediate risk.

Your responsibilities

  • Develop and deliver customer-specific mechanical solutions within ETO projects.
  • Translate requirements, standards, and regulations into sustainable and well-functioning designs.
  • Create models, drawings, and technical documentation using CAD/CAE.
  • Plan, execute, and evaluate tests.
  • Work cross-functionally to drive solutions all the way through to an efficient production handover.

Location

The position is based in Svedala, where you work close to the operations. Travel may be required.

Your profile

You have a university degree in mechanical engineering or mechanical design and are accustomed to working with customized deliveries and product development. Experience from the mining, construction, or related process industries is important for success in this role.

We would like you to have:

  • A good understanding of standards, regulations, and customer requirements.
  • A few years of experience in mechanical engineering or equivalent.
  • Experience with CAD/CAE tools.
  • The ability to communicate fluently in Swedish and English.
  • Basic knowledge of project management and cost awareness.

You work in a structured and analytical manner, while also being solution-oriented and collaborative. With a business-minded approach, high integrity, and the ability to see both the details and the big picture, you thrive in complex projects where responsibility, safety, and quality are at the center.
