Stockholm County Council (SLSO) and Karolinska Institutet collaborate on research, development, and education. The operations are organized into center formations, which are responsible for driving and developing research, development, and education within their respective areas in Region Stockholm.

We are now looking for a Financial Controller for four of these center formations:

Center for Psychiatric Research (CPF), Center for Epidemiology and Community Medicine (CES), Center for Work and Environmental Medicine (CAMM), and Center for Health Economics, Informatics and Health Care Research (CHIS).

As a Financial Controller, you will be part of the center formations' support staff/administration. You will work together with and support our Senior Financial Controller in the overall financial work, with your placement at CPF. The other center formations are all located in the immediate vicinity.

Responsibilities

As a Financial Controller, you will handle financial administration and provide support and advice to the R&D units. The responsibilities include, but are not limited to, ongoing reporting such as customer and supplier accounting, internal trade, contract management, and closing processes. The role also involves financial management such as budgeting and forecasting.

Qualifications

We are looking for you who have a university-level education in economics as well as two to four years of experience in similar tasks, preferably from a larger organization.

The role requires good IT skills and very good knowledge of Excel. If you also have experience with the financial system Raindance or the Business Intelligence tool QlikView, it is considered an advantage.

Experience with budgeting, closing processes, financial follow-up, and financial administration is considered an advantage.

We are looking for you who are meticulous, analytical, and structured. You work independently, take personal responsibility, and have good collaboration and communication skills. You are service-oriented and thrive when collaborating with different professional groups.

Since the work involves several operations, you need to be able to prioritize between different tasks, work towards set deadlines, and remain calm even during periods of high workload. Great emphasis will be placed on personal suitability.

Conditions

Permanent position. Full-time, 39.5 hours/week.

In case of patient-related work within Stockholm County Council (SLSO):

• A register check is applied before the decision on employment according to SLSO's overarching guidelines for register checks upon employment.
• Employees who will have patient contact must undergo a pre-employment health examination, according to current directives, which is conducted through the occupational health service before employment.
• Swedish professional licensure is required, along with good knowledge of the Swedish language corresponding to level C1 according to the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages (CEFR). The same requirement applies to non-licensed personnel with patient contact.
