The position is located at one of our group homes in Hägersten, which is an LSS (Act for Support and Service for Persons with Certain Functional Impairments) operation for adults with congenital deafblindness. Our mission is to offer support and services based on the individual's needs and wishes, and we actively work to promote equality and full participation in society for our users. The work is characterized by a pedagogical approach, a structured working method, and a low-affective and respectful manner of dealing with everyone.
Here, support assistants, team leaders, method supervisors, and a unit manager work. Our work is based on LSS and the City of Stockholm's quality program, where the needs and perspectives of Stockholmers are at the center.

Your role
As a support assistant with us, you will:
- provide support to users based on their needs and in accordance with the established implementation plan
- maintain social documentation
- develop and create working methods that both create participation and support users' communication
- develop and regularly review routines, implementation plans, and other important documents for users
- introduce new employees and supervise interns as needed.
Your competence and experience
We are looking for you who have:
- a degree from, for example, child and youth care, healthcare and social care, assistant nurse, or other education that we assess as equivalent
- experience working with people with disabilities in a similar role
- experience working with users who communicate using sign language and spoken language
- experience documenting in digital systems
- good knowledge of Swedish, both spoken and written.
It is meritorious if you have experience with:
- a similar role within the City of Stockholm that shows you understand our values and the pedagogical framework
- work within social support or rehabilitation
- work with users who have visual and/or hearing impairments.
To succeed in the role, you have communication that is clear and adapted to the recipient through, for example, low-affective interaction, clarifying pedagogy, or AAC (Augmentative and Alternative Communication). You can switch between working independently and collaborating with your colleagues. You are flexible and easily adapt to new circumstances, and you are professional and stable in challenging situations. It is important that you can bathe with users and have good hearing, as the work requires verbal communication with users and colleagues.
