Job Description

The field group in Nordost conducts social preventive, promotional, and outreach work with young people aged 10–20.

The work involves:

  • being present in environments where young people spend time, during the day, evenings, and weekends
  • establishing and maintaining relationships with young people over time
  • identifying risk and protective factors and acting accordingly
  • motivating young people towards change, activities, and positive contexts
  • collaborating with schools, social services, police, civil society, and other actors
  • documenting and following up on the work

Qualifications

We are looking for someone who has:

  • a degree in social work or other education deemed equivalent by the employer
  • good ability to express yourself in Swedish, both orally and in writing

It is an advantage if you have:

  • experience in fieldwork or other outreach work with young people
  • experience working with young people in risk zones
  • further education in areas such as youth work, social work, or behavioral science
  • language skills beyond Swedish
  • a valid driver's license (Category B)

Who are you?

To succeed in this role, you need to be confident in yourself and in your professional role. You have the ability to connect with young people in various life situations and build relationships over time – even when it is challenging.

We are looking for someone who:

  • can stay present in difficult conversations and situations without backing down
  • has the ability to set boundaries while maintaining the relationship
  • works independently and takes responsibility in situations where you need to make your own decisions
  • is flexible and can adapt your working method to the situation and the individual
  • has good collaboration skills and can navigate cooperation with multiple actors
  • understands different living conditions, cultures, and how these affect young people's prerequisites

You need to thrive in a job where the structure is not always fixed, and where you, together with colleagues, help shape the working methods based on needs.

What we offer

With us, you will work closely with young people and be part of preventive work that makes a concrete difference – both for the individual and for society at large.

You will become part of an operation where:

  • relational work is at the center
  • you have the opportunity to influence and develop working methods
  • collaboration is a natural part of the assignment
  • you work in an engaged team with a shared focus on the best interests of the young people

The advertisement concerns two fixed-term positions, one until March and the other until September 2027.
