The Family Home Unit consists of twelve employees divided into two groups: child secretaries and family home secretaries. We are now expanding the unit with one additional family home secretary. The unit also includes two method supervisors and a special educator. We have different competencies and backgrounds, but what we have in common is that we are engaged and have a strong child perspective. We work closely together, are non-hierarchical, enjoy our work, and provide each other with significant collegial support. We are an administration and a unit that continuously works on development to make things as good as possible for those we serve.
As an employee at Mölndal City, you are offered flexible working hours, external supervision, and a wellness allowance.

RESPONSIBILITIES
As a family home secretary, you are responsible for recruiting, investigating, educating, and supervising emergency and family homes, as well as contact persons and contact families. Part of the job involves matching the child's needs with a suitable family home. The child's social secretary and the family home secretary work in teams regarding the placed children. The work is independent but requires close collaboration with colleagues in the unit as well as with other internal and external partners.
In Mölndal, we have a strength-based approach, including through Signs of Safety. This means we have a major focus on network placements and network work. We also work with "Parents at a Distance," meaning that the original parents should be as involved as possible in the lives of the placed children.
QUALIFICATIONS
We are looking for you who are educated as a social worker. You should have knowledge of the laws and regulations governing social child care and be able to adapt your working methods accordingly. It is desirable that you have experience with family home work and training in investigating family homes, such as Kälvesten or similar. It is an advantage if you have worked with children and young people, and we would like you to have experience in authority practice.
We want you to be able to work independently while also being easy to collaborate with, both with colleagues and management. We wish for you to be solution-oriented and creative, especially regarding the task of finding family homes and matching children with family homes. At the same time, we wish for you to be secure and stable and able to independently support the family homes in their tasks. You, as an applicant, are interested in working to provide our placed children and young people with a secure and predictable existence.
