About the role

We are looking for you who want to work in a small team supporting a 23-year-old woman in Uddevalla – a bubbly, humorous, and cheerful person with a neurological disability. She has lots of energy and will, and with the right support, she has the opportunity to live a rich and active life.

She communicates primarily through body language, sounds, pictures, and AAC (Augmentative and Alternative Communication). Therefore, we are looking for you who have a genuine interest in human interaction, communication, and social engagement.

Your days with us

With us, the job is about creating conditions for quality of life – both for the user and for the team. Among other things, you will:

• Be a secure support during transfers and daily routines
• Provide care and nursing
• Participate in motor training and physical activity
• Take part in leisure activities such as horseback riding, sailing, music, swimming, and play
• Contribute to communication and structure using signs, pictures, and other supportive methods

Who are you?

We believe you are an active and confident person who thrives when working closely with other people. Perhaps you already have experience from LSS (Support and Service for Persons with Functional Impairments) or healthcare and social services – or perhaps you just have a big heart and the right attitude.

You:

• Have a calm, patient, and attentive approach
• Enjoy being active and creating meaningful activities
• Have the ability to handle challenging situations in a low-affective manner
• See the importance of creating independence for the user – you enable, you do not control

Practical information

• Working hours: Day, evening, weekend, and night (on-call duties may occur)
• Employment: 2 positions at 80%
• Location: In the client's home and wherever she is
• Salary: According to collective agreement (Kommunal)
• Requirements: Category B driver's license, good Swedish skills, and a certificate of no criminal record (police record extract)

The Police Record Extract

To work as a personal assistant with us, you must present a certificate of no criminal record (police record extract 442.3). It is important to note that the police processing time can be up to two weeks, so order your record extract as soon as possible. The extract will be requested during a potential interview.
