Nurse for Radiation Therapy in Kalmar

We now have an opportunity for you to start working as a nurse in the radiation therapy department in Kalmar. We offer a developing role where oncological nursing and high-tech care form the foundation of the nurse's responsibilities. At the radiation therapy unit, we work in cross-professional teams, and everyone's contribution is vital for the patient. We focus on the patient, and development is continuous to provide the best possible care. Here, a secure work group with extensive knowledge and experience in oncology and radiation therapy works together. Currently, we have two accelerators, a CT scanner, and dose planning capabilities. The work is patient-oriented, involving treatment at the radiation accelerator as well as information and conversations with oncology patients and their relatives.

New methods for radiation therapy are under constant development, making the workplace exciting and stimulating with opportunities for professional development. Here, you have the opportunity to work with different types of areas of responsibility.

In 2026, a completely new oncology house will be inaugurated, including two brand-new radiation accelerators.

The working hours are daytime, Monday to Friday.

About You

We are looking for you who are a specialist-trained nurse with a focus on radiation therapy. However, if you are a nurse or radiographer with an interest in radiation therapy, you are also welcome to apply and will be offered education. The education takes place online in collaboration with Lund University. You need a genuine interest in medical technology equipment to thrive with us, as radiation therapy is a technical unit. Oncology is developing rapidly, which requires that you, as an applicant, have an interest in and are positive towards changes.

You are calm, secure, flexible, and have the ability to prioritize and make independent decisions. You find it easy to collaborate with others, as a large part of the work is done in close cooperation with other nurses. Great importance is placed on personal suitability.
