As a nurse at the Child and Adolescent Psychiatry Emergency Department (BUP), you will become part of a dedicated team providing acute psychiatric care to children and adolescents requiring inpatient care. Our patients may suffer from severe depression, anxiety, serious eating disorders, psychotic illness, and/or have attempted suicide.

About you

You are a registered nurse with an interest in psychiatry. Work experience within child and adolescent specialist psychiatry is an advantage.

As a person, you are empathetic, secure, and responsive – you have the ability to meet children and young people in difficult situations with empathy, good treatment, and professionalism.

To succeed in this role, you are an engaged person who sees the value in building and maintaining good relationships with patients and colleagues.

BUP consists of an inpatient and emergency department in Kalmar, as well as outpatient clinics in Kalmar, Oskarshamn, and Västervik. Eating disorder clinics are located in Kalmar and Västervik.
