Event Technician for a dynamic and developing business

About the position

As an Event Technician, you will become part of our Operations and Event Technology Department. The department consists of three event technicians and a production manager, as well as three facility maintenance workers and a lead facility maintenance worker. The department is led by a department manager, and the daily work is planned and supervised by the production manager and the lead facility maintenance worker, respectively.

The role is varied, developmental, and operational, where you work closely with customers, organizers, and project managers to ensure professional and safe execution of our events.

Your mission

As an Event Technician, you are responsible for rigging, setup, strike, and technical delivery at our events and visiting productions. You participate in planning, preparation, and execution, ensuring that events are carried out according to current safety requirements and quality standards.

Together with the production manager, you are an important part of the creative process and collaborate closely with project managers, coordinators, and customers to create the best possible experience for visitors and organizers.

Responsibilities

In the role, you will among other things work with:

• Rigging, assembly, and disassembly of parquet, stage solutions, and technical equipment; work at heights occurs.
• Planning, coordination, and execution of events and productions.
• Operation, maintenance, and development of the department's technical equipment as well as event-related equipment and furniture.
• Support to other areas of the business within service, operations, and technology.
• Customer contact and consultation before events together with project managers and organizers.
• Fire and safety work in connection with productions and arrangements.
• Conducting risk assessments before and during events.
• Supervision and coordination of temporary staff in connection with events.
• Responsibility for sound, lighting, and other event technology.

The position involves working evenings and weekends according to the business's needs.

Qualifications

To be considered for the position, we see that you have:

• Experience working in event technology, stage production, rigging, or similar operations.
• Education in event technology, stage production, or equivalent experience.
• Knowledge in sound, lighting, AV, and stage technology.
• Good computer skills and experience with digital planning or control systems.
• Valid driver's license (Category B).
• Fluency in Swedish, both spoken and written.

Merits

• Certification for working at heights/fall protection.
• Lift license, forklift license, or equivalent authorizations.
• Experience with safety and fire protection work at public events.
• Knowledge in AV technology, video production, or network-based control systems.
