Are you a manager with personnel responsibility and a background in water and wastewater (VA) or a related industry? Do you want to lead socially important projects that make a real difference?

At Mälarenergi Vatten, we are facing many large and exciting initiatives. We are now looking for you who are a stable and results-oriented leader for the role of Unit Manager for Project Management.

Your Role

As Unit Manager, you have overall responsibility for ensuring that planned and budgeted investment projects are carried out efficiently, systematically, and sustainably – based on a clear project process. You lead and distribute the work within the unit and ensure that operations are driven systematically, with the right priorities and good control. The role involves a high pace, where you need to be able to handle changes and make decisions with short notice.

An important part of the assignment is to:

  • Efficientize working methods and create smart, sustainable flows in the project process.
  • Drive and develop digitalization that strengthens planning, follow-up, and implementation.
  • Ensure that projects are moved forward at the right pace.
  • Create conditions for the unit to deliver according to plan.

You have a holistic view of the unit's delivery, including:

  • employee utilization
  • project economics
  • competence and resource allocation

You are responsible for ensuring that the unit has the right conditions to drive projects both in-house and as a client. In addition to the operational management role, you are part of the Development Department's management group, where you, together with other managers, take responsibility for the business's goals and long-term development. You report to the Department Manager.

We are looking for you

Who is a manager today, with experience leading employees in a business where delivery, structure, and clear priorities are crucial.

You have:

  • academic education in civil engineering, technology, environment, construction, or infrastructure, or equivalent
  • experience in a management role with personnel responsibility
  • experience in budgeting and financial responsibility

A B-driver's license and good computer skills are required, as well as very good knowledge of Swedish in speech and writing. Experience from the water and wastewater industry or related infrastructure operations is highly meritorious. Similarly, experience in project management is highly meritorious.

The Project Management Unit consists of 7 employees and 4 consultants who together work to drive our investment projects. We are now looking for a Unit Manager who, with new energy, wants to create a world of opportunities.
