About the workplace

Working at the Building Department in Sala is an opportunity to be active in a municipality that is in an exciting phase of development, where you as an employee are an important part of contributing to and participating in our societal development. In Sala Municipality, there are approximately 23,000 inhabitants, characterized by a vibrant countryside and a culturally historic city center. The Building Department consists of 6 case processors who work with building permits, PBL supervision, and housing adaptation, and is part of the Community Planning Office.

Tasks

The position involves processing permit and notification cases and/or PBL supervision according to current legislation. The focus of the position can be adapted to your competence and experience. The position also includes information and advice to the public. We strive for simple, efficient, and citizen-friendly case management, which requires good cooperation, both within the work group and with other operations in the municipality.

Qualifications

We are looking for you who are trained as a building permit case processor, building engineer, heritage conservationist, architect, lawyer in property law, or have other education or experience that we assess as equivalent. Competence from similar tasks is meritorious. You need to have good cooperation skills and also be able to work independently. You have a good ability to handle people and are service-oriented. You enjoy working in a consultative manner and use dialogue as a tool to achieve good solutions. You are structured, flexible, and can switch between different tasks and reprioritize when necessary. You have good communication skills and master the Swedish language well in speech and writing. Great weight will be placed on personal suitability. A B driving license and experience driving a car are required.
