For the autumn term, we are now looking for dedicated and driven hourly substitute staff for our operations in preschools and schools. Do you want to make a difference in the daily lives of children and students? Then a position with us might be right for you!

Tomelilla Municipality has preschools, schools, and after-school centers both in Tomelilla town and in the surrounding rural areas. In Tomelilla town, there are several operations, including an OB preschool. The OB preschool offers childcare during inconvenient working hours for guardians who work evenings, nights, and weekends. As an hourly substitute at the OB preschool, you may therefore work during times other than regular daytime hours.

Outside of Tomelilla town, our operations are located in Onslunda, Smedstorp, and Brösarp. Regardless of location, you will become an important part of the operation and contribute to a safe, developmental, and stimulating environment for children and students.

DUTIES

As an hourly substitute with us, you will have the opportunity to work in our preschools and schools when needs arise, sometimes with short notice. The position is suitable for you who are looking for flexible work and want to combine work with studies or other activities.

You control your own availability through our staffing system and choose when you want and can work. Bookings are made based on the current needs of the operations, which gives you great freedom to adapt the work to your daily life.

As an hourly substitute, you can work at one or more of our preschools and/or schools; you choose which operations you want to be linked to.

In the role of childcare worker/teacher substitute, you contribute to creating a safe, educational, and stimulating environment where every child is given the opportunity to develop based on their prerequisites. You are involved in the pedagogical work and support, inspire, and challenge the children in their development and learning.

We are looking for someone who is secure in themselves, has a positive attitude, and enjoys working both independently and with others. You find it easy to collaborate with different professional groups and contribute to a good working climate.

QUALIFICATIONS

We are looking for someone who has completed and passed a high school education. It is an advantage if you are educated or studying to become a childcare worker, preschool teacher, teacher, or have other pedagogical education that the employer considers equivalent.

If you have previous experience of work or practice in preschools, schools, or after-school centers, we see this as an advantage.

To thrive in the role, you have a genuine interest in children's development and learning. You are a secure, responsible, and responsive person who meets children with patience and respect. You have a low-affect approach, can create security in the group of children, and feel comfortable taking own initiatives and leading activities when needed.

Since you communicate daily with children, guardians, and colleagues, you need to have very good knowledge of Swedish, both spoken and written.
