About the Position

We are looking for an engaged support educator who, together with users and colleagues, wants to work to develop our operations. The position involves working as a support educator at Ängen, which is a service housing facility with 10 residential apartments located in central Båstad.

Responsibilities

As a support educator at Ängen, you work to drive the pedagogical work forward. You use your competence to develop pedagogical solutions together with users and colleagues. You also use your competence to support your colleagues in methods and planning of daily work. You work together with your colleagues who are support assistants in the daily work with the users, but some time is specifically allocated to support educator work.

As a support educator at Ängen, you collaborate with other support educators in our LSS (Act for Support and Service for Persons with Certain Functional Impairments) operations and method supporters, as well as other external actors.

Working hours are scheduled for both day and evening, as well as every other weekend.

Qualifications

• You have a vocational education as a support educator, or other vocational/higher education that the employer considers equivalent and relevant for the position.
• For the position, it is required that you have previous experience of working within LSS and that you have experience working with intellectual disability and autism, as well as care work. It is meritorious if you have previously worked in service housing.
• As a support educator at Ängen, you need to work with low-affective approaches, have patience, and have a strong commitment to our target group. You need to be able to collaborate and create trust with both users and your colleagues, and be able to set clear professional boundaries.
• Additional education in alternative and augmentative communication, low-affective interaction, and methods such as conversation mats is meritorious.
• A Category B driver's license is a requirement.
