As an Information Security Coordinator, you will have the opportunity to influence, create structure, and drive development while serving as a support to the operations. Through close collaboration with managers, leadership, and employees, you contribute to making information security a natural part of how we work and develop.

Your role in our team

You play a central role in driving and further developing Umeå Energi's systematic information security work. You work in a consultative capacity together with managers, business owners, and specialists to translate requirements, risks, and regulations into practical solutions that create value in the operations. To thrive with us, we believe you are someone who enjoys creating structure in complex issues, builds trusting relationships, and has the ability to help others understand the value of information security.

Your responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:

• Developing and monitoring guidelines, processes, and working methods for information security.
• Supporting operations within information classification, risk analyses, and security assessments.
• Serving as a strategic support to leadership and operations in matters concerning information security, risk, and regulatory compliance.
• Contributing to increased knowledge and building a strong security culture within the organization.
• Tracking developments in legislation, standards, and regulatory requirements.

You will work closely with leadership and operations in a role with significant impact on the company's strategic development. You will work within the company's security function and be part of our information security team.

To succeed in the role, you need:

• Relevant academic education in areas such as information security, IT security, law, or business development, or equivalent experience.
• Several years of experience in information security work and data protection.
• Good knowledge of relevant laws, regulations, and standards, such as NIS2, security protection legislation, the Public Access to Information and Secrecy Act, and GDPR.
• Experience in risk management, information classification, and security governance.
• Strong communication skills with both operations and leadership.

It is an advantage if you also have:

• Experience leading and coordinating work related to NIS2/Cyber Security Act, ISO 27001, or similar frameworks.
• Technical understanding or knowledge in the field of cybersecurity.
• Experience with security issues related to procurement or supply chains.
• Experience working in society-critical operations, the energy sector, or the public sector.
• Experience in change management or educational initiatives within the field of information security.
