Norran is the dominant news provider in northern Västerbotten. We are now looking for a reporter for a longer-term temporary position!

Norran is investing in journalism that makes a difference in the local community.

Therefore, we are now looking for a socially interested reporter for a temporary position from September 2026 to January 2027.

We cover several municipalities in northern Västerbotten, but this position is based at the Skellefteå newsroom.

You will join a wonderful news-driven and curious team that works at a high pace and always wants to deliver the biggest and most interesting news.

You will have the opportunity to be at the center of events and, through text, images, video, and audio, tell about the hottest news right now, but also do journalism that explains, guides, and evokes emotions.

We have a creative environment where you, together with skilled colleagues, capture socially important issues and trending topics.

We are looking for you who have a great commitment and interest in local journalism. You have a journalism degree or equivalent education and have experience from working at a newsroom. To thrive in the role, we see that you are curious and knowledgeable, preferably within explanatory and investigative journalism. You like to work in an event-driven daily life where unplanned tasks occur, all to capture today's news for our readers.

You are creative and come up with your own ideas and are stylistically skilled, while also mastering photo and video production. You have a good ability to build connections and create trust with both interviewees and our readers.

Evening and weekend work occurs.

A B-driver's license is a requirement as there is driving involved in the position.
